Is there an ideal age gap between couples ?
It's a quite interesting question. I see on TV not a few male entertainers show off their much younger wives.
The saying 'there is no age for love' can go but a huge gap age like 20 years something can be disturbing.
in the past time such as in the 60's and 70's, it was quite common that a man was 6 or 7 years older than his wife.
Because a man needed time to get a college degree, do military service and get a job before marrying. These activities took a man about 7 to 8 years even 10 years. At that time, a woman rarely went to college and some married just after graduating from high school others worked 2 or 3 years before ended up marrying. Besides, this age gap for the then married couple might not matter culturally.
But today, I think just 4-5 years age difference can give a couple a generation gap, which can lead to wedding life problems.
When it comes to a couple with a big age gap, a much older husband wants his much younger wife to be obedient like a good daughter and vice versa, the much young wife wants her husband to be all the time generous like a loving father. At this point, there is a clash.
